Choices选择

One important choice I made in recent years was to leave my sales role at a HiSilicon distributor and devote more of my time to AI.

In that role, I could see a fairly clear career path: build relationships with customers and manufacturers, then perhaps move to a larger distributor such as Arrow or WPG, or eventually join a manufacturer. It is an established path, but I did not want my choices to become fixed too early.

I wanted to spend more of my time on AI. My previous path left little room to use it. In a new field, I can take up new tools and put them to work on concrete problems.

My earlier experience still comes in useful. Sales taught me to listen to what clients need and move work forward; my computer science background helps me understand how the technology works. I bring both to conversations about AI products and to my own projects.

近几年，我做过一个重要的选择：离开海思代理商的销售岗位，把更多精力放到 AI 上。

在那份工作里，我看到了一条相对清晰的职业路径：经营客户与原厂的关系，再走向艾睿、大联大这样更大的代理商，或者以后进入原厂。这是一条成熟的路，但我不想让自己的选择过早固定下来。

我想把更多时间花在 AI 上。原来那条路上，AI 能用上的地方不多；而在新的领域，我可以掌握新的工具，用它们解决具体问题。

以前的经验还用得上。销售让我习惯先听懂客户的需求、推动事情向前；计算机背景帮助我理解技术如何工作。现在，我把这些经验带进 AI 产品的讨论和自己的项目里。
